Ask Ausiello: What will Mary and Francis’ reunion be like on Reign

Question: What will Mary and Francis’ reunion be like on Reign after the way he left? — Bree
Ausiello:
As you can imagine, Bree, “complicated” doesn’t even begin to describe Francis and Mary’s relationship in Season 2. “There is a connection between Francis and Lola, and he has to have a civil relationship with her, but he’s determined to show Mary that he cares about their relationship more than anything — and he does that through sex,” Toby Regbo says. “He just throws sex at his problems until they go away.”

TVLine: How are things with Mary and Francis when Reign returns?

Check out what TVLine had to say about Reign in Matt’s Inside Line!

Have you got anything on how things are with Mary and Francis when Reign comes back? –Bree
In the season premiere? Distant. Francis is off with Lola, trying to protect them, while Mary is trying to avoid the plague in the castle. But once he returns home, things could be looking up as Mary “spends a lot of the first three episodes naked,” star Adelaide Kane reveals. “We’re sexy this season.” However, the whole Lola/baby situation will make things “awkward” around the castle for everyone involved.
